Let's start at the beginning. I was born and raised in Renton and have spent almost my entire life living in this fine area. I now reside in Issaquah, just about 5 miles from where I grew up. I have spent years driving over these roads and I know them well. The real estate business is a natural fit for me. My husband, Dave, has been a builder and land developer since 1976, although he has "retired" from that career. Recently we worked together on a couple of new houses, he as the general contractor (hiring and supervising) and me as the design and finishing expert. That was fun being involved from the architectural planning through the lighting, cabinets, flooring and finishing detail work!  Dave is now MY right-hand man in the real estate business. He assists me with mundane tasks as well as lending his years of expert knowledge of land use, zoning, wetlands and all the many other issues that come into play when dealing with raw land and its potential for development. Many agents will dazzle you with their years in the corporate world or their expertise in a certain niche in the job market. I have spent many years in a variety of volunteer activities and I won't back away from the commitments that I make. I have served as a volunteer coordinator and trainer of new volunteers for the American Cancer Society. I am past president of the Issaquah Garden Club. I come by my leadership skills naturally and am tenacious like a dog after a bone!
